At a tender age of 16, Fran�ois-Paul Journe immersed himself in the art and science of horology. This exhaustive training in some of the most prestigious watchmaking schools and his own innate talent led him to open his workshop in 1985 and operate around the motto "Invenit et Fecit" or I invented it, and I made it. This sense of pride is well-deserved judging from the quality of the watches he produced, much like that of the FP Journe Vagabondage in its unique �Tortue Plate� case of 18k gold or platinum. A singular timepiece, a mechanical manual movement powers an unusual wandering hour indicator via an outer minute and Arabic chapter rings surrounding a fascinating balance and escapement. An FP Journe Vagabondage watch boasts of an impressive 50-hour power reserve and measures 36mm x 43mm. Introduced in 2004, the FP Journe Vagabondage is also available with baguette diamonds in a limited edition of only 10 pieces.
