In 1980, Carlo Crocco set out to produce a watch that is unlike any other. And he did. Establishing MDM Geneva, he manufactured timepieces that were clearly inspired by a ships porthole and fitted with straps that shook the traditional horological community: natural black rubber. It wasnt long before European royalties snapped up his collections. One of these pioneering watches is the Hublot Super B. Constructed from a 42.5mm 18k rose gold or stainless steel with a tachymeter bezel, it features an exhibition caseback that shows off the automatic mechanism. Featuring hours, minutes, sweep seconds, date, chronograph and flyback functions, newer models of the Hublot Super B is now equipped with a larger bezel with 12 screws and various colored crocodile straps on a rubber backing. In keeping with Croccos principles, the Hublot Super B was built not only to withstand the rigors of the outside world, but also the test of time.
