Patek Philippe Ellipse
Being the second-oldest collection behind the Calatrava, the Golden Ellipse is one of the flagship models of the Patek Philippe collection. In 2008, Patek Philippe celebrated the 40th anniversary of the collection with the Golden Ellipse 5738P in a limited edition of 100 pieces worldwide. The Golden Ellipse 5738P still possesses the divine proportions from where the collection was named, except that this anniversary edition comes in a larger platinum case size of 34.5 x 39.5 mm. Much like its original predecessor, the simple 18kt gold dial comes in an astounding deep blue color with white gold baton hands and applied index markers. This rare timepiece is powered by Patek Philippe's revolutionary thin self- winding mechanical caliber 240 movement. And like Patek Philippe's timepieces with platinum cases, the extraordinary 5738P comes with a small diamond between the lugs at the 6 o'clock position.
