Brief Brand History for
Alain Silberstein was an architect and designer before he created his eponymous watch company. His watches are both artistic and contemporary owing to their use of geometric shapes, saturated colors, and bauhaus design elements. In the decades since its founding, Alain Silberstein managed to make a name for himself among more-established French watchmakers.
Product Line Overview
The artistic Alain Silberstein Alligator Collection is defined by an idiosyncratic feature: cases covered in alligator leather paired with matching straps. The uniqueness of these watches make them ideal for the eccentric collector. The collection's designs skillfully blend the colorful flair found in Keith Haring's pop art and the practical minimalism of the Bauhaus school of design. Lines within this collection include the Krono Bauhaus 2 Cuir, available in black, red, tricolor, and white.
The Alligator Pavé GMT Cuir is similar in its design elements but square in shape. The collection also features alligator skin cases. The Tourbillon Cuir Collection includes the highly complicated orange Tourbillon Cuir Papaya with a fabulous semi-skeletonized dial and the Tourbillon Cuir Wild Safari with a camouflage dial. The even more complex Tourbillon SQ Cuir Collection features fully skeletonized dials.
The Alain Silberstein Bolido Collection is more conservative but retains the brand's distinctive touch of color. The Bolido features a rectangular case and is available in steel or titanium. The Karavan Collection features watches designed for travelers. Consequently, watches within the collection are composed of two smaller, individual watches set into a stainless steel frame and secured by a leather strap. Other collections include the Klub, Rondo, Bodini, and Cyclope.
