The success of the relatively new brand De Bethune is largely due to the collaborative efforts and unyielding passion of two watchmaking aficionados David Zanetta and Denis Flageollet. In a span of only a decade since its founding in 2002, they owned nine patents and developed thirteen calibres, a truly remarkable feat. It isnt so surprising though when one looks at the quality of their work over the years. The Debethune DB 2 models for example are a perfect synergy of the past and the present. Driven by an automatic movement with an impressive 7-day power reserve, the Debethune DB 2 is a handsome watch without a second hand. The passing of the hours and minutes is shown by a pair of blued steel hands and Roman Numerals over a lovely guilloched dial. A solid 18k gold measuring about 42mm in diameter, the Debethune DB 2 looks even more polished strapped with an elegant crocodile leather.
