When Carlo Crocco founded Hublot in 1980, his clear vision of what his watches are and arent enabled him to gain a solid foothold in an age-old industry in a pace many would consider unprecedented. The formula is simple: porthole-designed case in precious metals such as steel, gold, or titanium fitted with a remarkably durable (think steel inserts) yet supple matte rubber band. It was a runaway success. To date, their Hublot Classic collection has grown to include pieces bejeweled with rubies, sapphires, and emeralds but without deviating much from the initial blueprint. Providing an option for a Quartz or automatic movement, Hublot Classic generally measures between 24mm to 42mm and can feature hours and minutes only, or with seconds, day/date and chronograph. With a water resistance choices of 50m or 100m, the Hublot Classic also boasts of a power reserve of approximately 40h to 42h.
