IWC Pilot
In 1869, American engineer Florentine Ariosto Jones and Swiss watchmaker Johann Heinrich Moser set up shop in Schaffhausen, Switzerland to form International Watch Company and had the distinction of being the only watch manufacturer located in Eastern Switzerland. They also quickly became known for building a special niche in aviation when the IWC Big Pilot collection was launched. Touting all the necessities for a pilot watch, its imposing 44mm to 48mm case sports a highly legible dial, a soft-iron inner case for magnetic field protection, and an impressive 44-hr to 8-day power reserve. Powered by automatic movement, IWC Big Pilot models offer a range of complications that ranges from perpetual calendar, flyback, moonphase and power reserve display.
