Description

This watch is also known as: W20098D6, W2009806

The harmoniously-shaped Cartier Santos de Cartier Galbee Model #W20098D6 is housed in an extra large stainless steel case and octagonal crown set with a faceted spinel. This men's watch is powered by mechanical movement with automatic winding using Cartier caliber 049.

The Cartier Santos de Cartier Galbee W20098D6 features silvered opaline dial with sword-shaped blued steel hands, black Roman numeral markers and date display between 4 and 5 o'clock positions. A stainless steel bracelet with hidden folding clasp completes the classic look of this stylish timepiece. This wristwatch is water resistant to 30 meters (100 feet).

The Santos was introduced by Louis Cartier in 1904 and designed for an aviator named Alberto Santos-Dumont, who was keen to be able to tell the time in the most convenient way possible. The Santos de Cartier watch is an early expression of the watch that emerges from the Cartier workshops, first in 1912 and then in 1978, when Cartier makes the bold move of fitting it with a bracelet made of steel
