It may be cast in one of the most common material in watchmaking but it boasts of a thorougly unique complication - the quarter repeater. Featuring its familiar onion shaped steel crown, the watch is water resistant up to 30m and has a screw down sapphire crystal caseback that reveals an automatic movement with a 35h power reserve. The Chronoswiss Quarter Repeater Steel's case measures an approximate 40mm in diameter and serves as an excellent base for its sterling silver, salmon, or white mother of pearl dial. Moving across the surface are thermally blued steel hands that indicate the central hours and minutes, along with a subsidiary seconds at 6 o'clock. The quarter repeater function sounds the hour and quarter hour with a push button at 10 o'clock. Accompanied by a black or brown alligator leather strap, the Chronoswiss Quarter Repeater Steel impresses without going over the top.
