This distinctive characteristic is seen once more on the IWC GST Alarm with a mechanical alarm complication that can both be heard and felt. The GST stand for the materials the timepieces come in: gold, steel, titanium. The round case of the IWC GST Alarm measures 40mm and is equipped with a dual crown - the upper crown is responsible for the manual winding of the automatic movement as well as the hands and date setting while the lower crown sets the alarm. Boasting of a 44-hour power reserve, the IWC GST Alarm exudes class with its black or white dial adorned only with tritium coated hands and markers, red tipped alarm hand, and a script logo on the rim.
