Richard Mille have been known to depart from the usual tricks and traditional watchmaking practices much to the delight of connoisseurs who wants nothing of the boring and the predictable. Thus a collective gush of admiration can be heard when the Richard Mille RM 05 Rose Gold was launched in 2007. Presented in a 38mm x 50mm 18k rose gold case, the tonneau shaped construction features a bezel secured by eight titanium screws and a transparent sapphire caseback. This offers a welcome opportunity to watch the automatic movement in action. The Richard Mille RM 05 Rose Gold further utilizes the same sapphire crystal out front, painted with white Arabic numerals and shielding a skeletonized dial. A luminous dot marking a 5-minute scale, sweep centre seconds, lume tipped hour and minute hands, as well as a date aperture completes the avant-garde look of the Richard Mille RM 05 Rose Gold.
