When Fawaz Gruosi opened his first boutique in Geneva in 1993, not a lot of people were optimistic. He had a stellar reputation in jewellery and objets d?art but barely anyone believes his foray into watchmaking will succeed. He proved the skeptics wrong with the release of their very first watch - the de Grisogono Instrumento No. Uno 2001. The square case with its slightly curved profile is made from stainless steel, 18k white, or 18k rose gold and measures 33mm in diameter. The inner workings of the watch is visible from the sapphire caseback as it showcases the automatic movement with a 42-hour power reserve. The two-tier dial of de Grisogono Instrumento No. Uno 2001 is available in 15 versions and features dual timezone and large date. Waterproof up to 30m, the de Grisogono Instrumento No. Uno 2001 is worn on an alligator or Galuchat leather strap or stainless steel bracelet.
